Electrical risk score (ERS) is an easily obtainable marker from electrocardiography. The ERS consists of six simple ECG parameters. No study assessed the association of ERS with prognosis in patients with NSTEMI. So Elmas et al from Türkiye studied this issue.

Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI) correlates independently with functional coronary artery stenosis severity assessed by FFR. Özkan et al from Türkiye found that integrating PNI assessment into clinical practice could enhance prognostic evaluation and guide therapeutic strategies effectively.

Myocarditis (MC) is an inflammatory disease that has an incidence of less than 10% of the population. The underlying mechanisms of Viral MC are still only partially understood, and there are no specific drugs for treatment. Therefore, it is urgent to study the molecular pathogenesis of VMC and search for its potential targets to provide new strategies for the prevention or treatment of VMC. That is the aim of this study done by Shi and Sun from China.

An exaggerated hypertensive response (EHR) during exercise is linked to increased cardiovascular risk and mortality. This study by Geneş and Çelik from Türkiye aims to assess structural and functional cardiac changes, along with subclinical myocardial damage, using transthoracic echocardiography (ECHO) and 2D longitudinal strain analysis in patients showing a hypertensive response to treadmill exercise.
